If you should have any of the retired Webkins and you intend to hold them for maximum value, it is very important that they be in "like-new" condition with the Secret Code pouch unopened. I know this sounds silly, but to a collector or a reseller, they will want the piece in pristine, like-new condition if they are going to pay top dollar for it. Likewise, if you intend to purchase retired Webkins for your collection, be sure you follow these same guidelines.

If you are a collector or want to start a collection, it would be wise to buy a Webkins for play value, but then buy an extra and put it away for eventual retirement.

Which Webkinz will retire next? It's hard to say. Were we starting a collection for future trade value, we would be focusing on the slow sellers, the more unpopular Webkinz and the seasonal Webkins.
